An uninstall does not "uninstall/delete" every file from your system and I assume the ones that are left (probably a registry key) causes the error on restart, because the key thinks that something extra has to be installed. Basically you are trying to make your system "forget office 2007", so that when you reinstall it, this issue does not remain. ![]() Uninstall Office 2007 (like you did before) but then also delete the Office folder and delete all registry keys that are associated with it.
